MIAMI, FL (August 1, 2025) – The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation welcomes attorney Sabrina R. Gallo to its impressive national board roster comprised of 22 nationally recognized business and professional leaders. Gallo, a shareholder and chair of the Miami Product Liability & Mass Torts Litigation Group with global law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A, has been involved with the DRIF since shortly after her son, Colby, now 20, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of four.
Recognized among the Best Lawyers in America for Product Liability, Gallo has spent more than two decades representing clients in product liability, toxic torts, class actions, and other complex litigation matters in federal and state courts. As a trial lawyer in multimillion-dollar litigation, she concentrates her practice on the representation and defense of product liability cases, including consumer and personal care products, medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
“Sabrina Gallo brings a tremendous combination of talent, intellect and compassion to our national board,” said Board Chairman William Fishlinger, Founder, President and Chairman of The Board of Gramercy Risk Holdings, LLC and father of a daughter with type 1 diabetes. “Private philanthropy is more important now than it ever has been,” added Fishlinger. “As we continue looking to strengthen our board’s prominence and fundraising capabilities, particularly amid a time of uncertainty related to federal funding for medical research, we are thrilled to welcome Sabrina to the team.”
“I am honored to join Bill and the DRIF board and am looking forward to playing an active role in our critically important efforts to fund the transformational, cure-focused work taking place at the Diabetes Research Institute,” said Gallo.
Gallo’s board term became effective July 1, 2025.
