Committed to Curing Diabetes
At the Diabetes Research Institute and Foundation, our mission is clear – we want to cure diabetes now. How serious are we about fulfilling that goal? Perhaps one of our longtime board members put it best: “We want to turn off the lights.”
Simply put, we aim to put ourselves out of business by curing this devastating disease.
Thankfully, there are many organizations devoted to the care of diabetes patients and the education of the public about diabetes. But there is only one national organization solely devoted to developing a biological cure for diabetes: the Diabetes Research Institute and Foundation. Learn more, join us, and help us get the job done!
The Diabetes Research Institute is a leader in cure-focused research, moving discoveries from the lab to patients in the fastest and safest way possible.
The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation provides DRI researchers with the financial support they need to speed progress toward a cure.

“You have to have a passion for doing the experiments that are going to impact lives…if you have the right group of people with the right kind of science and you bring in that passion, it’s only going to move us forward to finding a cure.”
