Help for Living with Diabetes
One of our D-moms put it best: “Diabetes never takes a vacation.” You live with it 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year. Constantly checking, adjusting and, yes, worrying.
No doubt, it’s an incredible challenge to adjust to the “new normal” after diagnosis — and all the things that can change each and every day. But the DRI and DRI Foundation are here to help you manage diabetes with classes, parent-to-parent support, and news-you-can-use right here on the website.

Just what is diabetes? What causes the disease? And what’s the difference between type 1 and type 2? We explain in language you can understand.

It’s so helpful to know that other parents face the same challenges as you — and to learn what they’re doing that works. Our PEP Squad is here for you.

We’ve created a series of classes and easy-to-understand brochures to help you manage the challenges of diabetes. Offered in English and Spanish.
MASTERING YOUR DIABETES
Four times per year, we offer “Mastering Your Diabetes,” a four-day, intensive insulin management program. Many who have taken the class have called it “life changing.”
After completing the Mastering Your Diabetes: A Survival Guide to College and Beyond, Brooke Miller talks about her experience. Register now for MYD or one of the other DRI education classes.
