Putting the Foundation in the Top 0.1% of Charities Nationally in Terms of Transparency
MIAMI (May 11, 2022) – The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation (DRIF) is proud to announce their achievement of the 2022 Platinum Seal of Transparency, the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar, a service of Candid.
A Platinum status demonstrates the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation’s exceptional trustworthiness, financial strength, fiscal management best practices, and tangible successful outcomes in its mission of funding the cure-focused research at the Diabetes Research Institute.
“By achieving Platinum status, we continue to set ourselves apart as a responsible steward of the generous donations made to find a cure for diabetes,” said Sean Kramer, CEO of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. “Only 0.1% of nonprofits nationally achieve this rating and Candid’s Nonprofit Profile serves as a great tool to help us present donors with a wealth of up-to-date metrics and to communicate our exciting initiatives.”
Previously known as the GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency, in 2019, Foundation Center and GuideStar joined forces to become Candid. To earn Platinum status, DRIF disclosed extensive information through its Candid Nonprofit Profile. The in-depth data encompasses the foundation’s organizational background, in-depth financial data, and qualitative and quantitative information about its goals, strategies, capabilities, and results. Philanthropists, donors, and foundations who support charitable organizations rely upon the Candid rating as a verified indicator of the strength, proficiency, and effectiveness of nonprofits.
