Step inside the Diabetes Research Institute and experience the science bringing us closer to a cure.

Discover the Cure is a special, family-centered experience that brings the DRI’s mission to life. Children, teens, and their families will go behind the scenes of the Institute, explore research labs, meet the scientists advancing cure-focused research, and discover how ideas move from the laboratory toward real-world impact.

Through interactive, age-friendly experiences, young guests will have the opportunity to become a “DRI Scientist for a Day,” while the entire family gains a deeper understanding of the progress being made toward a future without diabetes. The program is designed to provide direct access to the researchers and laboratories driving innovation at the DRI while creating meaningful connections between families and the science they support.

Guests will participate in guided lab visits, engage with DRI scientists, and enjoy educational opportunities designed to make complex research approachable, inspiring, and accessible. Together, families will gain a firsthand look at how discoveries are advancing the search for a biological cure for diabetes.

Discover the Cure offers a unique opportunity for families to learn, connect, and leave with a renewed sense of hope for the future.
