Improving Lives: Marge Kleiman Mintz

Marge Kleiman Mintz was among the parents who became involved with the Foundation in the early 1970s.

Her son, Gary, then 19, was losing his vision because of diabetes. Marge and husband Marty devoted their lives to raising research dollars.

Today, Gary is the recipient of a successful islet transplant.

Editor's note: Throughout the course of clinical trials, the results and/or status of study participants may vary.
