| New Grant Funds Cord Blood-Derived Stem Cell Research to Address Islet Supply |
|
One of the most critical challenges in finding a cure for diabetes is to develop new sources of insulin-producing cells.
Among other cell types, cord blood-derived stem cells are showing great promise, and a new $200,000 grant from the Fred and Mabel R. Parks Foundation will fuel the pace at which research progress in this area is made. |
